Unearth a Genuine Fossil

No plastic replicas here.

Every Otodus shark tooth included in an Earth Discoveries kit is a genuine fossil. Each specimen is naturally unique, meaning its size, colour, shape, texture and condition will vary from tooth to tooth.

Your fossil has its own story, and you're the one who gets to uncover it.

Scan & Discover Your Fossil

The discovery doesn't stop once you've finished digging.

Every framed specimen includes a scannable QR code linked to the Earth Discoveries Fossil Record, allowing you to explore information about the fossil you've uncovered.

Scan the code to discover your specimen's origin location, geological time period, species information and more, helping connect the fossil in your hands with the ancient world it came from.

Your fossil isn't just something to display. It's a piece of Earth's history with a story you can explore.

Meet Otodus

Otodus was a large prehistoric shark that inhabited Earth's oceans millions of years ago.

Known from fossilised teeth found around the world, these ancient sharks were powerful marine predators and belonged to a lineage that would eventually produce some of the largest predatory sharks ever to inhabit Earth's oceans.

The fossil tooth hidden inside your excavation block is a genuine remnant of this incredible chapter in prehistoric marine life.

Protected During the Discovery

Fossils may have survived millions of years, but they can still be surprisingly fragile.

That's why your Otodus shark tooth is sealed inside a protective discovery case before being placed within the excavation block. Dig until you uncover the case, remove it from the block, open it and reveal the fossil safely protected inside.

You still get the excitement of excavation while helping protect the genuine fossil you've discovered.
