Diacalymene

Diacalymene was a genus of trilobite that inhabited ancient marine environments during the Ordovician Period, hundreds of millions of years before dinosaurs appeared. These small marine arthropods typically measured around 2–5 centimetres in length and possessed distinctive segmented bodies protected by hard external skeletons. They lived along ancient seafloors, where they likely fed on small organisms and organic material. Trilobites were among the earliest successful groups of marine arthropods, surviving for hundreds of millions of years. Beautifully preserved Diacalymene fossils are commonly discovered in Morocco, providing a remarkable glimpse into Earth's ancient oceans.
